I purchased this to help study for the registry. Unfortunately some of the question/answers are out of order. And some of the answers just plain wrong! For instance, SAR, on question 169, is specific absorbtion rate, NOT, susceptibility attack region as the answer states. If this was the only study guide I was using, that type of miss matches would really screw me up. I know that this guide is coming out in print in June 2013, hopefully this will have been caught. If not, buyer beware. Luckily I have been through an MRI course and am not just using this review. If you haven't, please invest in more study materials than just this guide. All in all,this could be much better, however I think it is the editing and not Ms Roth that is at fault. The information is present, it just seems to have gotten a bit jumbled.
This book did help with in my studying for the ARRT MRI registry in January 2017. But it was not my only source for studying. I also used Mrs. Roth's online program which was the biggest help (ImagingEd.com) and I also attended her Registry review program that highlighted info from her online program. She and her crew have done an excellent job of providing my in-depth knowledge for MRI.
Found numerous conflicting answers for questions. I ended up googling to make sure which was correct. I really wish they would at least include a correction sheet for the wrong answers if they aren't going to reprint the book.
I'm on the verge of taking ARRT registry exam..I purchased this book thinking it would help me to prepare, but, it has been more frustrating! I did catch the errors because I have numerous of other material to study from. But, considering how many the questions this book has it's not worth the time to go every single one. Especially, the ones you don't know the answers too. Don't waste your time on purchasing the book, and may I add money.
Very thorough and helpful. I passed my registry exam thanks to this book, but I did find a few errors. I highly recommend using multiple resources for the exam.
Amazing book! I passed my review in October!! It had A LOT of questions so I was only able to go through it twice but the wording of the questions helped me a lot
proofreading it would have been high on my to do list before I published it. if that wasn't enough, flipping from the questions to the back of the book for answers that had no explanations for most, not really a good use of time.
I love these two people who wrote this book but it is full of mistakes, it needs a major proof reading done and those of us who purchased both the book and kindle version should clearly be sent the new updated revision with the correct answers in it. Just sayin!! cause this book is not cheap.update, on further inspection of this book I have to warn you fellow students preparing for boards this book could really hurt your score, it is full of mistakes which is to bad coming from these people, shame on them for not caring enough to proof read the book before selling it. It's pretty much worthless unless you know all the right answers to every question already. Sorry Candi and Bill but just sayin!!
